*Pray it not strange birds fall from the sky

and crabs wash up on the shore

provoke an addition to everything called food.

Civilization reached a cure,
a dysentery purge

to remove the Bubble Civ.

More than black carp,

oil disappeared*  from the Gulf

in a mystery of "no good cause."

Believe that and move. 

Unprepared for the utmost brief,

 money that builds even better beef,

 do away with belief,
deep forces roar. 

 Not space aliens that science thought would save,

or government that wants a better life for kids,

 money was resisted with changed lives and prayer.

*Pray it not strange. It is common. Earth was so teeming with life  in the 19th century that geologists, biologists, anthropologists had to invent dinosaur die off to make doubt the obvious, that earth was teeming with life. Within hours of  such breaking news of game, bird or fish die off comes a flood of "fact checkin" that this is common. Naw, you can't think science had anything to do with it, ya crack pot; science is the handmaid of industry! They would say that of  cancer clusters in Ohio or the TCE toxic plumes of Phoenix but why worry, it is common, even the water bottles have it! They're right again. What should we do? Don't drink the water. When the people who inhabited the continents left cromlechs, middens, cave dwellings, berms, forts, relics, monuments in stone and earth, at least they left the earth.There will be hunks of pavement, loose slabs remaining over the west, to project the continuation of ordinary time. Thought today is affronted by the existence of the previous. What right had they to get here first? To revenge themselves on the previous, anthropologists dug them up indigenous and removed them. You know that the Brits ripped up and stole everything they could carry off. They were saving  for posterity! The Brits and their followers.What a brave new world that has such people in it.

Taking Down the Elder

Decay exists. The past disappears fast My first termites, in a house with a cracked slab, came up in a box of books stored in a closet. Good to know, otherwise they'd eaten the house. Among many change of water damage, one house on pier and beams  ranoff in a torrent from the street, it passed underneath, warping the sub floor. Forces speed annihilation. Earth, water, fire, air, the older you are the more you get to know, to have more of it. Moths eat wool, termites wood, floods spoil books, thieves steal, accidents occur, hips break from inattention, feet stumble, forgetfulness, bone loss, anger, sleight, malice and more the past records. To annihilate these memories endangers the whole. Knowledge of the past as the knowledge of disaster prevents it.

Taking Down the Elder.

The pundit scientists and entertainers want you to look only one way, outside at them or their agendas. The elder prevents this for the elder is within. So science comes up with the space alien, entertainers come up with fashion, food, adventure all viewed from the outside. Look at me, look at me.
